Mr. Saginaw is the Commercial Director for McQuilling Services, LLC.  He brings to this position over 25 years of broad experience in the maritime industry.  Trained as a Naval Architect at the University of Michigan, Mr. Saginaw also taught applied economics, shipping and ship production and graduated with joint advanced degrees in Naval Architecture (Master’s of Science in Engineering) and Business Administration (Master’s of Business Administration).  He worked for several years at National Steel and Shipbuilding in San Diego, California where he played a key role in the introduction of modern ship production techniques.  A decade-long career with Chevron Shipping Company included commercial and operational management responsibility and technical positions.  In 1997 he formed McQuilling Services, LLC., a marine transportation consulting enterprise and has led the firm on a path of continued growth in service offerings and clients since that time.  McQuilling Services combines a global staff with a worldwide network of professional relationships to bring individually crafted solutions to our client’s needs.  The firm offers expertise in the following areas and encourages specific and unique requests: Management consulting including strategy development and implementation, organizational design, and process improvement; Business development including industry analysis, business modeling, and enterprise valuation; Ship finance advisory including financial markets analysis and transaction origination, negotiation and support; Marine logistics analysis including supply logistics optimization, fleet composition, coverage analysis, and voyage economics; Market research including both historical analysis and forecasting for shipping markets; Information technology application to marine transportation commercial work processes; Ship construction & repair advisory,  technology transfer, marketing analysis and representation; Personnel training and maritime industry seminars directed to client needs.
